AD-Tech microduct is an HDPE protective duct for fiber-optic cable, produced with a low-friction inner layer so cable can be blown over long distances. It is used on aerial, wall-mounted and buried routes in FTTX access networks.

Key features

  • High-density polyethylene body with a low-friction inner layer for cable blowing.
  • Stable inner and outer diameters for reliable connectors and joints.
  • UV-stabilised grades for aerial installation.
  • Coils in 500 m and 1000 m lengths, with custom lengths on request.
Applications

Applications

◈
Feeder routesopen trench or HDD, using thick-walled duct or a high-strength buried duct bundle
◈
Last mileflat or link duct for micro/mini trenching along busy urban routes
◈
Secondary distribution and drops5/3.5 or 7/3.5 mm microduct for direct ABF blowing to the subscriber
Product family

Microduct: 7/4 single tube and 14/10 assemblies

The 7/4 single microduct is made from composite polymer (PP-PA) and is designed for direct burial; its solid low-friction inner surface lets fibre or nano cable be air-blown through it, and the composite material removes the need for extra protection underground. The 14/10 assemblies come in 1 to 7-way configurations with an HDPE outer sheath, longitudinal grooves for maximum installation lengths and an integrated tracer wire under the sheath.

  • Direct burialInstall directly into the ground without additional protection
  • Low-friction boreOptimised for air-blown fibre and nano cable
  • Standard colour codeEach tube identified per DIN VDE 0888 (14/10: S12 or no colour)
  • Longitudinal groovesMaximum installation length in the 14/10 assemblies
  • Tracer wireLocates the buried route, integrated under the 14/10 sheath
  • Temperature rangeOperation and storage from −40 to +60 °C
