Microduct joints and connectors couple coils and create branches along the route. Push-fit and mechanical designs keep the inner bore aligned so the cable passes without snagging during blowing.

Key features

  • Straight, reducing and branch configurations.
  • Colour-coded bodies for quick duct identification.
  • Reusable push-fit assembly for field work.
  • Pressure-tight connection compatible with blowing operations.
Applications

Applications

◈
FTTx networksreliable joints with minimal signal loss along distribution routes

Modular closure

Micro-duct joint; protecting the branch point

When two tubes are connected the outer sheath is removed, leaving the tube exposed to the environment; a branch closure protects that point. The same closure works for direct-buried routes or inside a manhole or handhole. To stay cost effective the closure is not watertight — the duct connection points are protected from moisture by straight connectors and end caps. The three main shapes are the I/Y, T and D closure, and the modular version can take all three roles at once.

  • 4 branch portsMade for micro-duct branching
  • Double clampingHolds the duct securely against pull
  • High-strength plasticImpact resistant and durable
  • Easy maintenanceQuick to reopen, no special tools
  • Flexible installationDirect buried, or inside a manhole or handhole
  • Interchangeable grommetsEvery opening takes the grommet for its diameter

The catalog prints a “Microduct diameter” row of 44.5 mm or 36.3 mm per closure without saying what it measures; rather than guess, that row is omitted and flagged for the client in docs/TODO.md.

Accessories

Grommets and caps

Each opening of the closure takes a rubber grommet: a solid one closes that opening, an open one sets the pass-through diameter.

Hexagonal grommet
Hexagonal grommet For the openings of a 7-way bundle
Round grommet
Round grommet For a single tube or cable
Straight connector and end cap Keep the connection points dry
